What should I do if accidentally ingested?
Rinse your mouth and drink water to flush it out. If it gets in your eyes, do not rub them - rinse thoroughly with running water. Note that silica gel is chemically inert and non-toxic. While it will pass through your system naturally without being digested or absorbed, please consult a doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms.
What is the proper way to store desiccants?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For unused portions, keep them in airtight, moisture-proof containers such as aluminum bags to prevent exposure to outside air. When planning to use the product multiple times, it’s recommended to divide it into smaller portions in moisture-proof containers upon first opening to minimize moisture exposure.
How much desiccant should I use?
As a general guideline, use approximately 5g per 10 liters (10,000 cm’) of volume, based on Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) for packaging non-hy-groscopic materials in sealed metal containers at 25° C and 50% humidity. However, actual usage should be calculated considering several factors including container permeability, product moisture content, container volume, storage duration, and ambient humidity conditions.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Our Dryern® sachets, tablets, and sheets are guaranteed for 3 years from the manufacturing date when unopened. The actual shelf life after opening varies depending on storage conditions and frequency of use.
What is the purpose of the blue particles in the sachets?
What is the difference between Type A and Type B silica gel?
Type A and Type B silica gel serve different moisture control purposes. Type A excels at moisture absorption in low-humidity environments and is ideal for maintaining low humidity in sealed conditions. Type B is optimized for humidity regulation, with the ability to both absorb moisture at high humidity levels and release it at low levels, making it suitable for maintaining specific humidity ranges. Simply put, Type A is designed for moisture absorption, while Type B is engineered for humidity control.
Can the products be reused?
We do not recommend reusing Dryern® sachets, tablets, or sheets due to the nature of their packaging materials, which include plastic film, pulp, and non-woven fabrics.
How should I dispose of these products?
Disposal guidelines vary by location. Please check with your local municipality for specific waste sorting and disposal instructions.
